THE PLUTONIAN REVOLUTION Daily Astrology Sun 18th Oct Yesterday we looked at Pluto, who is now moving forward, waving at us. Today we will look at his sign, Aquarius, where he will be for the next 20 years. It affects the whole world, as well as the individual. Last time he was here, the Industrial, American and French Revolutions all occurred. Political and technological upheavals. That is what we are living in again. The post WWII political landscape is shifting slowly but dramatically, and the 2nd AI revolution is upon us, the 1st having been the advent of machines. How do you respond to this level of change and uncertainty? It hasn't actually happened yet, but it looms before us. One way is to write these changes off as bad things to be resisted, and plenty of people do so. It is understandable, for humans find change very stressful. Another is to say well this is what is happening, and go with it, responsively. It is a great existential exercise in not being able to control the future. Because you can't. There is peace and wisdom to be found in this attitude. Another reflection is on the nature of Aquarius, which can be humanity at its best, but also at its most divorced from the instinctual, which is Scorpio. How do we live in our bodies when technology makes them redundant? The normalisation of obesity is a symptom of this challenge. As is the promotion of pathological physical vanity on social media. The natural world is where we can come back into balance. Nature is the great healer. Immerse yourself in her, regularly, and you will be less vulnerable to the imbalances of the age. And read my fantasy book The Shapeshifters Trilogy, which synchronously addresses precisely this imbalance, and redeems humanity in the process.
