“The Supreme Court will hear the Trump administration’s bid to keep DOGE records secret. The case centers on whether the Department of Government Efficiency, once led by Elon Musk, is a government agency subject to public records requests. The watchdog group CREW is seeking DOGE’s guidance to staff on canceling contracts and firing federal workers. The administration argues DOGE is just a presidential advisory body that doesn’t have to comply with the Freedom of Information Act. Lower courts have ruled against DOGE every time, with one judge saying the public “would be irreparably harmed” by delays in getting the records. A ruling is expected by the end of June.“ From Aaron Parnas newsletter
