SPEAKING THE TRUTH Daily Astrology Mon 12th Oct Moon conjunct Mercury in Scorpio. A day when you will feel compelled to speak truthfully. Not the well-articulated truths of the Air signs, but the direct emotional truths of the Water signs. In particular, with Scorpio, you speak for the elephant in the room, the things nobody wants to talk about. You may, of course, need to leave it at that, for families and social circles have their unspoken guardrails as to what is permissible. But it may come out anyway. If in doubt, say it. Scorpio brings with it the power of love, so you will be better received than you thought. Like the Ancient Mariner, there may be a glitter in your eye that compels people to listen. That is the power of truth. However, beware of your darker motives. You may be speaking truthfully, and you may find it hard not to do so, but with Scorpio there can be hatred and a desire to belittle, to have power over another. Don't pretend you don't have those feelings too, Scorpio doesn't like pretence. Also don't be intimidated by lack of evidence. You may see something very clearly that you cannot prove. Scorpio is the sign that makes us whole by bringing in that which civilised man proscribes for the sake of an ordered society. Those rules are necessary, but for some of us they become suffocating: we have to expand beyond them. Speaking or writing something, as Mercury loves to do, is a way to make these things real. There are hidden valleys and glorious landscapes in your soul to be found in this way. Scorpio is a sign of death and destruction, but for the soul it is in order that the way may be cleared for the next unfoldment. That is what you are doing when you speak with the truth of your being.
