Now after presenting the empirical evidence in the domain of human biology. It’s time now to connect the human brain - which we previously tapped on in (1-3—3-3) on Dec 21, 2025; and behavioral psychology. Behavioral psychology There is an empirical evidence today in the domain of behavioral psychology which suggests that upbringing alone cannot shape someone’s perception of their own ‘felt gender’ - remember that the human brain shapes our own human behavior, and the brain is inherently nonbinary. In one devastating and tragic example, Berkowitz (2023) demonstrates that someone’s perception of their own gender cannot be imposed, taught, or modeled - Berkowitz (ibid) suggests that genes and also prenatal hormones matter, too, and that the nuances of sex and gender exist and ignoring them can put those who cannot fit into these binary boxes at risk. Biological sex characteristics: chromosomes, hormones and hormone receptors, genitals, and gonads are a mixture of both male and female characteristics or the intermediate between them. We are just, simply put, inherently nonbinary. References and Supplementary Data
