His eyes flashed open in panic, feeling the siren’s grip cinch around his waist and his head. He could barely make a thing out in the commotion, especially underwater, but he was certain of one thing: her teeth were at his neck. Oliver made to scream, but found himself breathless, and his gurgled cry was muffled under the waves. Still deeper, the siren drove him down. This was his justice then; she’d just been playing with him. His neck's flesh gave to the siren's teeth easily as they rent through, though strangely the bite seemed to stop halfway. His vision grew dimmer, but he still felt her mouth locked onto his neck, humming…no, singing. The song grew louder, now reverberating in his own throat, growing so loud it rang in his ears until the darkness took him. But Oliver did not find himself in the Devil's grasp or at the Lord’s gates, he found himself instead floating weightlessly in a dark void. Thoughts that he might be in limbo were broken when he looked up to see what could only be moonlight, scattering through the waves above.
