We have become far too risk-averse as a society. We focus so intensely on everything that could go wrong that we forget to ask what could go incredibly right. That’s exactly how many people approach AI. Yes, the risks are real, and we should manage them intelligently. But the potential benefits—better education, healthcare, creativity, productivity, and access to knowledge—are enormous. The benefits of AI are far more likely to outweigh the risks. Manage the danger. Maintain human accountability. But don’t become so afraid of risk that fear stops humanity from moving forward.
