INCONVENIENT TRUTHS Daily Astrology Thurs 15th Oct Sun in Libra is the focus of a very nice flowing configuration with Moon in Sag and Jupiter in Leo. Libra is balance, the Justice Card in the Tarot, and the centre of the Medicine Wheel. (Read my book on it!) It is the 1/2 way point, in moving round the zodiac, where self-awareness arises, and the consequent need to live in balance with the needs of others. This eventually becomes the realisation that self and other itself is a provisional category, that we are all one, by the time we reach Pisces. The balance of Libra is not tepid, it is not a grey compromise. It is a hard-won achievement. Balance comes about around the fulcrum, the centre of our being, where we listen to the voices (10 of them, for the 10 planets) that tell us who we are. This deepens through the relationship with the outer world. It is the stuff of life itself. Jupiter and the Moon in Jupiter-ruled Sag bring a sense of meaning and optimism into this engagement with the nitty-gritty. There is no earth or water in this configuration, so it can be very idealistic in the wrong kind of way. Utopian, thinking why can't we all just love one another, surely everyone fundamentally means well? There is a lot of that about in people's political views. It is both a naivety and a brainwashing. That is why I said the nitty-gritty. Look at what is in front of your nose, look to how the ordinary person experiences what is about them, rather than to ideologies about what you 'should' think if you are a 'nice' person, and you will have that Libran balance that is based in reality. Today's configuration is easy and it flows, but beware a tendency to avoid uncomfortable facts. Libra has a propensity to do this, and that is why Scorpio, the remedy, is the next sign.
