I don't wanna get too sappy (I've cried like 5 times in 2 days) but I wanted to let everyone know how important MACH2 was to me. I really don't think these words will make sense to anyone who is outside of this community, but that final day of Mach 2 was the greatest day of my life. This game and this community have changed my life countless times over. For the last 7 years I've put everything I had into it, and lost hope many times over. Still, thanks to all of you, I got back up, and tried again. So to finally see everything fall into place like this... there are no words. The only way that day could have been better is if there were more of us, screaming louder, and crying harder. I remember telling people my dream was to be at EVO and winning LLB grands on the main stage, but I accepted that this would realistically never happen. Beyond me just being a nervous nelly who can't pull through and gets second place whenever the stakes are high, I just didn't think an event like this could ever happen in the first place. Oh man, was I wrong. This was so, so, so much more than that. To see everyone, spend time with you all, hug, laugh, drink, and scream together... it has meant the entire world to me. Hyhy - my absolute GOAT, it's all thanks to you - said it best: "This community never ceases to amaze me." To see everyone there, and have everyone just be so amazing in person... I promise to cherish these days for the rest of my life. There are too many people I need to thank, so I'll keep it brief. To my friends, whom I cherish more than life itself - thank you To my mentors, who made me into the player I am today - thank you. To my students, who allow me to share my passion - thank you. To every attendee, who made this the greatest (and most well dressed) FGC event of all time - thank you. To those who helped organize, run, and promote the event, creating something beautiful - thank you. To everyone who tuned in and immortalized this day - thank you. To all of you, and to the entire Lethal League community - thank you. I'll be taking some time away from competitive play for a bit, but I want to dedicate this win to the talentless, the stubborn, the hard-working, and the absolutely deranged people who refuse to give up, no matter what. This wasn't just me. There were 100 people up on stage that day. Now it's your turn. Raise your head. Carry the flame. Reach new heights. The way of the Tiger. Thank you all for sharing your [ LOVE ]
