you know what sucks about the recent youtube updates, especially this and the newest florida update (which lemme remind you, basically bans the whole platform unless you age verify)? the fact no one is doing anything about it viewers are refusing to budge despite this year being one of the perfect times to pack your bags and flee the site, meaning viewership is still fluctuating despite everything wrong with youtube no big youtubers are actively quitting to go to a different website else so that people can actually move on from youtube, all because their careers rely on youtube continuing to exist every initial blackout attempt and boycott failed, enough people still care about the platform or rely on it too much to do anything about it, most of the alternatives suck anyway.. and worst of all, the people who said they'd be no longer using the platform proceeded to return to the platform i don't like doing these boycotts anymore, but we desperately need a change, or internet history as we know it is over. we need someone big to simply tell their audience to no longer use youtube, to use some other alternative. even if it's a lose/lose situation, it's the only way we can save the audience from a potential mass internet deletion, by splitting it back into what is essentially multiple parts again
