The low is producing hurricane forced gusts along extreme northwest France with a peak gust of 76 mph being reported. The system is possessing a strong core, and the peak wind gusts are very much firmly placed over the Bay of Biscay. The peak gusts will begin to slowly ease during the occlusion phase tonight. However, rainfall flooding and coastal flooding will be hazards to western France and southern and southwest England. Wales will also see very lively conditions once the system approaches landfall over southwest England. The system will be weakening during this time, however. How quickly this process remains to be seen. Current thinking is gradual weakening will be the main theme. However, this won't limit severe to hurricane forced gusts being possible for more exposed locations. Mainly moderate gale force gusts with a chance of severe gales for coastal areas is possible. The system will also be fully occluded so rainfall will be present through the system. However, the system will progress northward to north-westward before making another landfall potentially over southeast Rep of Ireland. Again, the system will be weakening and when on approach to Rep of Ireland, the system will be much weaker. However, gusts may be poking in the moderate gale force intensity for some areas. But gale force gusts are very much expected with this system for Rep of Ireland mainly. Once over Rep of Ireland the system will quickly degenerate into a remnant low and by absorbed by another low-pressure system. INT ... 90 KTS ... 105 MPH
