Hey everybody. I'm sorry for nuking everything and being silent for so long. I want my first post back on Bluesky to be an apology. I want to be very upfront with you guys. Some of my recent artwork was made with the assistance of generative AI tools. The more I used those tools, the more I started cutting corners in my process, and that began to show. Being called out on it forced me to reflect seriously on the work I’ve been making and the way I’ve handled that process. I want to say clearly that I’m truly sorry. I feel I did a disservice both to the art community and to myself. By relying on AI tools, I stepped away from the joy and discipline of actually making art. More importantly, I was not upfront about that process when creating work for others. That lack of transparency was wrong, and I understand if some of you feel misled or deceived. Since then I've issued refunds and have reached out to some people and they have been very gracious with me. For that, I am very grateful. With this all, I’ve taken a step back and spent time thinking about how I want to move forward. I want to get back to my roots and rebuild my process honestly. That means returning to my sketchbook, putting in the work, and getting comfortable drawing without relying on shortcuts. Going forward, when I share art, I want to be transparent about how it was made. That may look like physical sketchbook drawings, digital pieces with a timelapse, or process work for programs where timelapse isn’t possible, like Blender or Illustrator. I want my work to reflect honesty, growth, and accountability. To everyone who supported my art and endorsed me, I’m so sorry for letting you down. I know trust is earned, and I want to do better moving forward. Needless to say, AI will no longer be a part of my work. Thank you for reading.
