Resting in the Garden Among the fields of verdant vigor, A corpse fertilizes the fields. The monsoons gift the cherished wood, And sustain every fervant figure. Yet those indifferent creatures were not crafted by evolution, But by ancient, artificial claws. The cosmos did not bestow their magnificent wings, Nor their billowing lungs and pleasant eyes. Each and every blossoming species of the rains; Formed by the reckless and forgotten, The ones who believed their defiled palms were that of a god's.
