Standard feels kinda dull before Lorwyn comes out. I think my plan is to direct challenge people on stream with Shockland decklists. Obviously won't be as good as actually playing with Lorwyn cards, but having Shockland improved manabases will help with lots of decks. Tried the Pixie deck, and it felt bit lower on the power level compared to the other top decks. Beating Cub on the draw felt rough, if you don't have a -2/-2 enchantment bouncing back feels impossible. The manabase was kinda clunky, and don't think Hallowed Fountain will save it. Will probably pass on this one. One deck I'm yet to try is Reanimator, but I think it's quite bad right now (Spotlight data proves that), so it may be better to wait for JED's card in Lorwyn. That should help a lot. I am bit curious about the Landfall data from Spotlights. It claims Landfall was one of the best performing decks, and it also beats up on Lessons. If you're an experienced Landfall players, I would like to test the matchup - please reach out via DMs or comment below. 🙏 One random thought - Clarion Conqueror completely destroyed me while playing UG Cub. Not sure where, it fits, but something to keep in mind.
