I have been seeing a bunch of praise for the Monster Hunter Outlanders beta, so I watched a video of an actual fight. Anjanath. The fight is interrupted for character skill animations a-la-Genshin-style. The monster has a health bar. The characters yap unnaturally about mechanics like you need your hand held for everything. There are pop-ups everywhere. They show you when it's going to attack by highlighting it's entire body red. And the fight barely lasted 5 minutes. I'm sorry, but what's the rave about?
