Missionaries are a determined bunch. Church groups frequently have picnics, barbecues, and the like in the park. And yes, they do their best to spread the Good Word to those of us who happen to be walking by. It's never a good idea to interrupt me, though, when I'm chatting with the trees. "Good morning! Do you have time to talk about our Lord and Savior?" asked a woman with a motherly smile. "Certainly not. I'm not a gossip," I replied. "Have you read the Quran?" "Of course not!" "Me neither. Don't you think the people that keep complaining about the Muslims should read the Quran so they actually know what it is they're protesting against?" "Well...I suppose," she hesitantly replied. "Hey, knowledge is power! Am I right? Good talking to you." I walked away without a glance back. Perhaps I planted a tiny seed. Fingers crossed.
