Greetings fellow travelers and geeks/nerds. Yog here to share my thoughts on the new Masters of the Universe movie. There is enough hacking and slashing and pew-pews to warm the heart of every nerd of a certain age. If you are expecting anything more than action figures thrashing each other, why are you watching a He-Man movie? Are you lost? It is what it is and does it well. I found myself saying “hey that’s Mekaneck”, “hey that’s Ram Man”, and “hey that's Dolph Lundgren”. The cast was solid, even Jared Leto as Skeletor. Even though there were times I couldn’t understand what he was saying. The humor landed for the most part. It was also nice to see Orko giving us the moral of the story at the end. I’d give it a thumbs up, I dig it.
