I can't even imagine how American diplomats must feel, people who have spent their lives representing a democracy, playing by the rules, and now have to choose between quitting and enforcing the insane demands of an ugly, thuggish regime. Of course, there are many Trumpists among them too, but I'm sure the majority are pretty appalled by this administration that is ruining their life's work. Which makes me wonder how many of them will actually resign, and what that tells us about human nature.
