The team includes more than 800 poll observers, 134 attorneys, and 54 hotline operators, stationed in the 6th, 13th, 22nd, 45th, and 48th congressional districts on Tuesday and “remaining for as long as necessary.” “A federal badge is not a license to intimidate voters or interfere with an election,” Newsom said. He also pointed to a federal appeals court ruling, reported by The Hill, that allows the state to count the 20,000 mail-in ballots the Trump administration claimed were likely cast by noncitizens.
