This is my 2nd weekly Locktober post, for the first one check: https://longer.blue/posts/TPfISXnSyR Men are obsessed with size: Is mine big enough? How do I compare with the rest? Could I get slightly bigger? From the stealthy looks in the showers to the most bizarre enlargement techniques. Pumping, injections, pills. Aside all the pleasure that the joystick brings - it is also the reliable source of worries, frustrations, or shame. If one suffers of ED, curvatures, hypospadias, unusual scarring from botched circumcisions, or phimosis - the self-confidence suffers more. And we did not get to the psyche yet - even a rather healthy guy can face the performance anxiety occasionally. What if your "pride" fails you repeatedly? What if you feel like each time you meet someone you are obliged to explain "the disclaimer"? What if you need to plan each encounter carefully around the pills to get ready when the moment comes - unable to have a fun as spontaneous as you'd like? And why everyone else can?! Now imagine turning that ancient male anxiety upside down: You don't want to get hard. You don't want to show off how big it is. The erections are actually a bother - while trying to get in the cage or just wanting to sleep with it. You fetishize the possible permanent damage. You downsize the cages. You fantasize about permanently shrinking over time. You compete with the fellow subs in having a smaller nub. The chastity belt becomes a sort of therapeutic tool - without having to over-think the concept too much - just by you being playful and exploring the newly found options. Aside of the "paradoxical intention" side-effects of playing with the cock in cage (it will reliably try to get stiff when not expected, not allowed, not desired) - embracing the chastity subculture unexpectedly blessed me with an expanded perspectives: Learning the appreciation of the small as much as the big sizes, the flaccid beauty in contrast with the stiff one, the aspirations that go in the opposite direction than it usually is. Not to forget the magic of denial, restraint, frustration - they become positive words. One can discover a pride in locked self, a desire to show it off to the world. The humiliation in front of the other men is not a dreaded moment anymore, perhaps it brings even some satisfaction. Look - I won't get hard, yes - I can't get hard, correct - I am not allowed to get a boner! There is no reason for the performance anxiety in the frontal department - and with a bit of imagination that twist of the thought can be expanded in various other areas of life. Accepting the playful constraints can help coping with those beyond our control.
